Playground zones can really lift the visual impact of play spaces and encourage daily physical activity outside PE lessons. They also encourage children to take part in a variety of activities.
The Daily Mile is an easy activity to establish. Clear 'Start' and 'Finish' signs together with distance markers allow children the satisfaction of seeing their distance travelled growing. Create a circuit around your school site and when children have completed it 26 times...they have done a marathon!
