Mrs. Thomas, Year 2 teacher, has found a brilliant solution to the low morale and poor writing standards of her less able children -
"Getting children to edit and improve their writing has been hard going but when they are reluctant writers as well… These signs in our playground have made all the difference to the range of language they use. If you give them their book, a clipboard and the chance to go outside to edit their work and they see it as a treat!
It has really made a huge difference in their attitude to writing, and standards are rising rapidly!"
